The best ways, at a glance
Here's how much each way makes. Our favorite is the Ability Patch raid, because anyone can join and it pays the same big amount every single time ♡
Of these, the Item Printer pays the most per go, but it needs The Indigo Disk and a fully upgraded printer. The raid works for everyone, right now.
The Ability Patch raid
This is what we tell EVERYONE who asks in chat! Our Ability Patch Ditto hands over five Ability Patches every run, and each one sells for ₽125,000.
- It's a one shot. Anyone can join, no build needed, and you can do it again and again ♡
- Same for everyone. The rewards are locked in before anyone joins, so everybody in the lobby gets all five.
- Bonus Patch. Our XL Candy Ditto throws in one Ability Patch too, worth another ₽125,000.
- Or keep one. A Patch gives a Pokémon its Hidden Ability, so save one for your favorite!
Print Ability Patches with the Item Printer
The Item Printer picks what it prints using your Switch's clock. Set the clock to the right second and it prints Ability Patches, the same way every time. Seven Patches from one job sell for ₽875,000 ♡
What you need
- A Master Ball Item Printer. Talk to Reese in the League Club Room to upgrade it as you use it: Great Ball (200 BP), Ultra Ball (500 BP), then Master Ball (1,000 BP), which also needs you to have caught Terapagos. This only works at Master Ball.
- BP and materials for one job of five prints. On the materials screen, press X to fill them in for you.
- A stopwatch on your phone.
- 1
Save at the printer
Walk up to the Item Printer in the League Club Room, save your game right there, then close the game completely.
- 2
Change the clock
On your Switch, go to System Settings, System, Date and Time. Turn off Synchronize Clock via Internet, then set the date to July 20, 2025 and the time to 6:39 PM. Start your stopwatch the moment you press OK.
- 3
Get to the menu
Open the game and talk to Reese at the printer until I want to print something shows up. Don't pick it yet!
- 4
Hit the exact second
The second you want is 6:40:38 PM, so 1 minute 38 seconds on your stopwatch. Pick I want to print something so the screen fades to black right on that second. The game lags a tiny bit, so you may need to press a second or two early.
- 5
Print five
Choose to print five times, add your materials and print. You should get seven Ability Patches across the five prints, plus a Cracked Pot.
- 6
Sell and reset
Sell the Patches at any Pokémon Center, then turn Synchronize Clock via Internet back on when you're done.
- Got different items? You were a second off. Close the game, set the clock back to 6:39 PM and try again, pressing a little earlier or later. It takes a few tries to find your timing, and each try uses materials.
- Flashing yellow lights? If your printer already has the double items bonus going, the same second prints fourteen Ability Patches, worth ₽1,750,000!
- One more time to try. May 12, 2000 at 10:59:28 PM prints eight Patches (sixteen with the bonus), if your Switch lets you set the year that far back. Set the clock to 10:58 PM and it's 1 minute 28 seconds on your stopwatch.
- Can't turn off the clock sync? Nintendo says it stays on while the Parental Controls app is linked to your Switch.
- Your time zone doesn't matter. The printer goes by the time your Switch shows, wherever you are.
This was figured out by the Pokémon research community, and the times come from their published Item Printer lists. Want Gold Bottle Caps from the printer instead? They're in our Bottle Caps guide ♡
The Academy Ace Tournament
Once you've finished the story, the Academy Ace Tournament in Mesagoza is a great place to battle for money. You face four Trainers in a row, your team is healed before every battle, and every win pays prize money.
- 1
Get the Amulet Coin
Beat five Trainers in West Province (Area Three), then talk to the Pokémon League representative in Medali. It doubles your prize money!
- 2
Unlock the tournament
Finish the main story, including the Gym Leader rematches. After your first tournament, enter again any time from the left side of the academy's front desk.
- 3
Lead with your best
Give the Amulet Coin to your strongest Pokémon and put it in front. It has to join the battle for the coin to work, and you can't change your team once the tournament starts.
- 4
Win and repeat
Every win pays out, doubled by the coin. Geeta alone pays ₽16,800 before the Amulet Coin, or ₽20,400 once you've beaten The Indigo Disk.
- Extra coins. Pay Day and Gholdengo's Make It Rain scatter coins worth five times the user's level each time, and you pick them all up when you win. The Amulet Coin doubles those too!
- Happy Hour. It doubles prize money again, on top of the Amulet Coin, but in Scarlet & Violet only the Hisuian Zoroark gift from The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero knows it.
- Prizes too. You can also win items like Big Nuggets and Bottle Caps from the tournament.
- Bonus. Finishing the tournament is also what unlocks 6★ and 7★ Tera Raids, so it's worth doing anyway ♡
What to sell, and what it's worth
Tera Raids hand over plenty of things worth selling. Here's what they're worth at any Pokémon Center, and where they come from:
- Early in the game? Get the Amulet Coin as soon as you can, battle every Trainer you pass, and sell the treasures you find lying around.
- Don't sell Bottle Caps. They only sell for ₽5,000 and cost ₽20,000 to buy. Use them for Hyper Training instead!
- Gimmighoul Coins aren't money. They count as TM Materials, so you can't sell them.
