Scarlet & Violet Exclusives

Some Pokémon only show up in one game. Here's the whole list, where each one lives, and how to catch the other game's exclusives too, without buying a second copy ♡

The short version

Only have one game? You can still catch them all

Almost every exclusive comes with a twin in the other game. Scarlet leans ancient (Koraidon and the old-timey Paradox Pokémon), Violet leans future (Miraidon and the Iron ones). Whichever game you've got, you can still catch the other game's exclusives too. I'll show you how at the bottom ♡

Every pink button below is a request you can paste straight into my Twitch chat.

Paldea

The pseudo-legends

The big ones everyone fights over! These take a LONG time to raise, so grabbing a fully grown one from a raid saves you a whole lot of grinding ♡

ScarletShiny LarvitarShiny PupitarShiny Tyranitar

Larvitar line

Where to look
Early on: West Province (Area One), Alfornada Cavern, East Province (Area One)
Later: West Province (Area Three), Casseroya Lake, Glaseado Mountain

In Tera Raids
Bagon 3★ · Shelgon 4★ · Salamence 5★ & 6★ (Paldea)

Tyranitar AND Salamence? Yes please ♡ They even live in the exact same rocky spots, so wherever Larvitar pops up in Scarlet, Bagon is sitting there instead in Violet.

Dreepy 3★ · Drakloak 4★ · Dragapult 5★ & 6★ (Paldea)

Two dragons that take FOREVER to evolve. Dreepy turns up way earlier in your playthrough than Deino does, so Violet players get a head start on this one.

Where: North Paldean Sea, Glaseado Mountain, North Province (Area Three)
In Tera Raids
Eiscue 4★ (Paldea)

Total opposites! Stonjourner hangs around the desert out west, Eiscue is up north in the snow.

The Teal Mask

You need The Teal Mask to catch these out in the wild. To catch one in MY raids though, you don't need the DLC at all ✨

Later: Kitakami Wilds, Timeless Woods
In Tera Raids
Aipom 3★ · Ambipom 5★ & 6★ (Kitakami)

In Tera Raids
Morpeko 4★ & 6★ (Kitakami)

Neither one evolves. Morpeko changes its face when it gets hungry though, which is adorable.

The Indigo Disk

Blueberry Academy

These live inside the Terarium, so you need The Indigo Disk for the wild ones. Same deal as Kitakami: no DLC needed to join my raids!

ScarletShiny Alolan VulpixShiny Alolan Ninetales

Alolan Vulpix line

Where to look
Where: Polar Biome, Polar Plaza, Chargestone Cavern

Alolan Sandshrew line

Where to look
Where: Polar Biome, Polar Plaza, Chargestone Cavern
In Tera Raids
Alolan Sandshrew 3★ · Alolan Sandslash 6★ (Blueberry Academy)

Both live in the Polar Biome and both evolve with an Ice Stone. Heads up: the regular Vulpix & Sandshrew are in Kitakami in BOTH games. Only the icy Alolan ones are split.

ScarletShiny CranidosShiny Rampardos

Cranidos line

Where to look
Where: Canyon Biome
In Tera Raids
Cranidos 3★ · Rampardos 4★ (Blueberry Academy)
VioletShiny ShieldonShiny Bastiodon

Shieldon line

Where to look
Where: Canyon Biome
In Tera Raids
Shieldon 3★ · Bastiodon 4★ (Blueberry Academy)

They look like fossil Pokémon, but you don't need a fossil! Both just wander around the Canyon Biome.

Paradox Pokémon

Ancient & Future

This is the big one! Scarlet gets the ancient Paradox Pokémon and Violet gets the future Iron ones. They roam Area Zero once you've finished the story, but you'll actually meet one way before that: the Quaking Earth Titan in Asado Desert is Great Tusk in Scarlet and Iron Treads in Violet.

Scarlet

The ancient ones

  • Great Tusk
  • Scream Tail
  • Brute Bonnet
  • Flutter Mane
  • Slither Wing
  • Sandy Shocks
  • Roaring Moon
Violet

The future ones

  • Iron Treads
  • Iron Bundle
  • Iron Hands
  • Iron Jugulis
  • Iron Moth
  • Iron Thorns
  • Iron Valiant
The DLC Paradox Pokémon
Walking Wake (Scarlet) and Iron Leaves (Violet) came out through special event raids.

Gouging Fire & Raging Bolt (Scarlet) and Iron Boulder & Iron Crown (Violet) come from Perrin. Finish her quest in Kitakami first, then fill up a big chunk of your Blueberry Pokédex and she'll hand you photos that make them show up in Area Zero. There's only one of each per save file, so bring your best balls!
Can I request these?
Sadly no. Paradox Pokémon don't show up in regular Tera Raids, so I can't host them. Trading or a friend's Union Circle is the way to get the other game's Paradox Pokémon ♡
Legendaries

Your ride & Snacksworth's treats

Koraidon is Scarlet's and Miraidon is Violet's. That's your ride, and there's a second, battle-ready one waiting for you in Area Zero after the story too.

Once you've finished The Indigo Disk, Snacksworth turns up at Blueberry Academy and swaps treats for clues to older legendaries. Playing solo you only get your own game's set. The other game's legendaries unlock when you do Group Blueberry Quests with friends!

Kyurem and Necrozma can fuse with those legendaries, so the fused forms split the same way: White Kyurem and Dusk Mane Necrozma are Scarlet's, Black Kyurem and Dawn Wings Necrozma are Violet's.

How to get the other game's exclusives

You do NOT need to buy the other game. Any of these work:

  1. ♡

    Join a raid

When you join someone's raid you catch whatever THEY'RE hosting, even if it can't show up in your game. Every pink button on this page works on my stream, from either game!

  2. ♡

    Union Circle

Hop into a friend's world. Anything you catch while you're there is from their game.

  3. ♡

    Trade for it

Link Trade with a friend who has the other game, or try your luck with a Surprise Trade.

  4. ♡

    Pokémon HOME

Already caught one in an older game? Send it over through HOME and it's yours in Scarlet or Violet too.

Quick questions

Still wondering?

Can I get Violet exclusives in Scarlet?
Yes! Join a raid that's hosted from Violet, catch it in a friend's Union Circle, or trade for it. It works the other way round too ♡
Do I need the DLC for the DLC exclusives?
To catch them out in the wild, yes, you have to be in Kitakami or Blueberry Academy. To catch them in one of my raids, nope! You can join any of my raids without the DLC.
Are Paradox Pokémon version exclusive?
Yes. The ancient ones are Scarlet and the Iron ones are Violet, and that goes for the DLC ones too.
Is Charcadet version exclusive?
No, Charcadet is in both games. Its evolutions are the split: Armarouge needs Scarlet's armor and Ceruledge needs Violet's.
Which game has Dragapult and which has Tyranitar?
Dragapult and Salamence are Violet. Tyranitar and Hydreigon are Scarlet. You can catch all four in my raids though, from either game ♡
Can I request version exclusives on your stream?
Most of them! Anything with a pink request button on this page works from either game. Paste it in my Twitch chat while I'm live and I'll host it from the game that has it.

Missing the other game's exclusives? Raid with me ♡Request almost any exclusive in my Twitch chat & catch it from either game. Free, always!
