How to get the Gengar badge on Twitch
For Pokémon Night Out, Twitch and The Pokémon Company made a spooky new chat badge line: Gastly, Haunter and Gengar. You keep every stage, so you end up with all three ♡
Gastly
Haunter
Gengar- Sub or gift a sub. Between and , start a NEW sub or gift one on a channel that counts. Ours counts! That earns you a Pokémon Night Out Themed Poké Ball with the Gastly badge inside.1
- Start opening it right away. Watch for twenty minutes, and get at least one day of progress in by , or the ball can't be opened later.
- Any three days. Twenty minutes a day on three different days opens the ball. Finish by November 23 and Gastly is yours!
- Claim it. Hit claim in the Drops & More panel or on the notice in chat, or claim it later on your Twitch Drops Inventory.3
- Evolve it. Equip Gastly in Drops & More and watch three more days for Haunter, then equip Haunter and do it once more for Gengar.
Good to know
- Prime subs don't count. In Twitch's own words:
Prime subscriptions and renewals of an existing subscription don't count.
1 A brand new sub or a gift sub does. - When you gift, YOU get the ball. The person you gift doesn't.
- One ball per person, and watching alone can't earn this one.
- Already subbed to us? Gift a sub instead and it still counts ♡
How to evolve your Twitch Pokémon badges
Got Pichu or a starter from the First Partners badges this summer? Since October 16 they evolve just by watching, no new sub needed, and you keep the earlier badge too.2
- Open Drops & More in the chat on any channel that counts, like ours.
- Swap in your badge. Under Watch Drops, pick Swap and choose the badge to evolve. Only the equipped one makes progress.1
- Watch three days, twenty minutes a day. Then swap in the new badge and go again for the final stage!

Pokémon GO Night Out Twitch drop
This one isn't on our stream. It only drops while you watch the Pokémon Night Out show live on the official Pokémon Twitch channel, starting . You get a code for Timed Research, and finishing it gives your avatar an exclusive Pokémon Night Out baseball jersey.4
- Link your accounts first. Connect your Pokémon Trainer Club account to Twitch with Pokémon's Twitch Drops FAQ. Do it before the show!5
- Watch thirty minutes on Twitch. Minimizing the stream pauses your drop timer.
- Claim it on the pop-up in chat, or later on your Twitch Drops Inventory. On an iPhone, claim it in a web browser: Twitch says rewards for iPhone games can't be claimed in its iPhone app.3
- Get your code on rewards.pokemon.com: pick View Inventory, find the drop and choose Show Code.
- Redeem it on the Pokémon GO offer redemption page. One code per Trainer!
The show is part of Pokémon Night Out, live from the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles. There's a London show on November 10 too, but no drop has been announced for it yet.
When do the Pokémon Twitch drops end?
Twitch and Pokémon post these in Pacific Time. Pick your own time zone and every time on this page changes with it. Twitch lists the last two as dates only, with no time.1

- Last day to open an old Pichu or starter ball
- November 23Last day to finish opening your Gastly ball
- January 30, 2027Last day to evolve any Pokémon badge
Where to claim your Twitch drops
- Claim them here
- On your Twitch Drops Inventory, in the Drops & More panel in chat, or on the claim notice in chat. Twitch keeps unclaimed rewards in your inventory for seven days after a campaign ends.3
- Check a channel counts
- Look for the Drops Enabled tag, or open Drops & More in its chat and make sure the Pokémon drop is listed. Ours has it!1
- Where to watch
- A computer browser or the Twitch app on your phone. Twitch's console and TV apps don't support drops.3
- Your badges
- They live in your Pokémon Collection, in the badge panel in chat, and they stay there after the event ends.1
- Something stuck?
- Twitch has a whole help page for the Pokémon badges.
Why earn them on our stream?
The badges count on any channel that counts, so pick one that gives you something back ♡
- Free shiny Tera Raids. Join our raids in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet while your badge timer ticks.
- Request almost any Pokémon. Type it in our chat and we line up your raid. See what you can request
- Raids that pay out. Herba Mystica, Ability Patch and Exp. Candy raids, plus version exclusives from either game.
- Every sub helps us grow. Subs, gifts and donations are how we keep the stream running and expand it so we can host raids for even more of you. A portion goes to helping people and local animal shelters, too.
