Who runs it?

Meet Optimism247

Optimism247 makes fast, helpful Pokémon content: quick guides for farming money, items and EXP, shiny hunting tips, Pokédex help and builds for pretty much every Pokémon game on Switch. It's all on his YouTube!

He also built Pokemon Collection, where you can trade, collect and grab shiny and rare event Pokémon. He's been a good friend to us, and it's one of the places we point anyone who asks us about trades.

The main event

Use the trade bots in the PKCL Discord

This is the meat and potatoes of Pokemon Collection! The Discord has a trade bot for every game. Tell it exactly which Pokémon you want, and it trades it to you right in your game.

Legendaries, Mythicals, Ultra Beasts, shinies & more, as long as it's legal in your game ♡

  1. Join the PKCL Discord. Hop into Pokemon Collection and find the channel for your game. Every game has its own bot.
  2. Ping the bot. Type @ and pick the bot's name, then trade and a space. It works on your phone too!
  3. Paste your set. Paste the Pokémon you want as a Showdown set.
  4. Trade in your game. The bot sends you a DM and walks you through the trade.

Heads up: the old .trade command is gone, it's the @ ping now! Some older examples still show .trade, so just swap it for the @ ping.

Bonus: find your OT, TID & SID Trade with the bot for your game, then check its DM. Look for the message with the yellow ! that starts with “Found Link Trade”: it shows your trainer name (OT), TID and SID.

Want to try PKCL before you join? The Code Bots wait on a few public Link Trade codes, so you can trade with them straight from your game.

Show the Code Bot codes
  1. Catch something. Any Pokémon you don't mind trading away works. Just don't send one that evolves by trading, like Kadabra, Machoke or Haunter.
  2. Nickname it. Name it the Pokémon you want, like Pikachu. That's how PKCL knows what to send!
  3. Enter a code. Go online, open Link Trade and enter one of the codes for your game.
  4. Find PKCL. Keep searching until the trainer PKCL shows up, then offer your Pokémon ♡

Let's Go uses pictures: pick Eevee, Rattata and Bulbasaur, in that order. Can't find PKCL? Try the next code. You'll need Nintendo Switch Online, NAT type A or B, and home Wi-Fi (not a hotspot). PKCL includes free daily trades; how many, and what else PKCL offers, can change, so the PKCL Discord always has the latest.
